Saturday, 2 June 2012 challenge for this weekend is to photograph some of the typeface from old (and in some cases, removed) local(ish) shopfronts - I've been meaning to do it for ages and I figure if I write it down here, that will help me stop procrastinating and get on with it!  Which means turning the computer off, right?!  To set the mood and I'll just quickly add the only couple of prints I've done with any attempt at typeface...ecco ci qua!

The last one is a quote taken from the following poem by Emily Dickinsom (honestly, this isn't procrastinting!!);

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
